Do you have the RTÉ channels: RTÉ One, RTÉ2 and RTÉ News?

Yes. All the RTÉ channels are in the line-up: RTÉ One, RTÉ One +1, RTÉ2, the RTÉ News channel and RTÉjr for younger children.

Watch RTÉ One live for the Nine O'Clock News, The Late Late Show and the big Sunday dramas. RTÉ2 live carries much of RTÉ's sport, from GAA and rugby to League of Ireland nights, plus comedy and younger shows. The RTÉ News channel runs Irish news around the clock, handy when something big is happening. Each one has catch-up, so if you missed last night's programme you can go back to it in the TV guide.

What about Virgin Media One, Two and Three?

All three are included. Virgin Media One is the home of its soaps, dramas and Irish news, and has shown Champions League nights for Irish viewers.

Virgin Media Two is lighter entertainment and reality TV, and Virgin Media Three carries sport and films. Which competitions Virgin Media shows changes with each rights deal, so check our sports rights guide for the current season.

Can I watch TG4 live and Irish-language TV?

Yes. TG4 live is in the line-up, with its Irish-language programmes, GAA coverage, ladies' football and camogie, and music and documentaries.

Many TG4 programmes have English subtitles, and its sport is a big draw in summer. For GAA, also see our GAA live stream guide.

Do I get UK channels in Ireland, like BBC and ITV?

Yes. The UK channels in Ireland that people watch most are all there: BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5, E4 and many more.

Lots of Irish homes grew up with BBC in Ireland through cable or a satellite dish, and some still use Freesat in Ireland with a dish pointed at the UK satellites. With IPTV there's no dish: you can watch ITV in Ireland, and the BBC channels, on the same login and TV guide as RTÉ. That includes the UK soaps, Saturday night entertainment and ITV's live football. Every UK channel has the same 4K, FHD, HEVC and HD versions.

Which Sky Sports Ireland channels and Premier Sports 1 are in it?

The sport section groups channels by broadcaster, including the Sky Sports Ireland channels, TNT Sports, Premier Sports 1 and 2, Eurosport and the Irish sports channels.

Sky Sports Main Event in Ireland shows the biggest live games of the week, and Premier Sports 1 in Ireland carries football and rugby. Which channel shows which competition changes with every rights deal, so see where to watch the Premier League in Ireland for this season.

What films, kids' and international channels are there?

Plenty. Beyond live film channels, there are more than 165,000 movies and series on demand, sorted into sections in your app.

For children there's RTÉjr, CBeebies, CBBC, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, so the kids can have their own screen with a 2 or 3 Devices pass. For homes from abroad, international groups include Polish, Lithuanian, Spanish, Portuguese and Brazilian, Indian and Arabic channels, which makes it easy for the whole family to watch home TV in Ireland. News fans get Sky News, BBC News, CNN International and Al Jazeera English next to RTÉ News.

Is there a TV guide for Ireland, so I can see what's on TV tonight?

Yes. Every pass has a full TV guide Ireland viewers will recognise, called the EPG, built into your app.

The Irish EPG shows what's on TV tonight in Ireland and over the coming days, channel by channel. In TiviMate it looks like the Sky guide grid; in Smarters it's a list under each channel. Catch-up lets you scroll back and play programmes that have already aired on channels that support it. If the guide is empty, refresh it in your app's settings; see the app guide.

Can I watch Irish TV abroad?

IPTV Pass is built for viewers in Ireland, but your pass runs over broadband, not a dish or cable. If you live or travel abroad, message us first and we'll confirm it works where you are.

Many people look to watch Irish TV abroad because the RTÉ Player outside Ireland shows less: some programmes and live sport are limited to viewers in Ireland. People often ask how to watch Irish TV in the UK, how to watch Irish TV in Spain on holiday, and how it works in Australia, where time zones make catch-up especially useful. Remember that one login works on one device only, wherever that device is.
