IPTV Setup Ireland: Pick Your Device

Here's how to set up IPTV on almost any device. The IPTV installation is the same three steps everywhere; only the app store changes.

1. Install a player appFrom your TV's app store, Google Play, the App Store, or Downloader on a Firestick.
2. Add your loginType the username, password and server we send on WhatsApp, or send us your MAC address for TV apps and MAG boxes.

Setup usually takes about ten minutes once the app is installed. If anything looks wrong, a photo of the screen on WhatsApp is the fastest fix.

There are two ways to use IPTV on a TV: an app on the smart TV itself, or a small stick or box plugged into an HDMI socket.

A smart TV app is tidiest: no extra remote, no extra cable. Samsung, LG and Hisense TVs from the last few years run apps like IBO Player and Smart IPTV, which usually charge a small fee to the app maker after a trial. A Firestick or Google TV stick is often smoother and faster on older or budget TVs, gives you more app choice, including the free TiviMate and Smarters, and moves easily to another room. Yes. For IPTV on a PC, the simplest player is VLC: open Media › Open Network Stream and paste your M3U link.

For IPTV on Windows with a proper TV guide, try MyIPTV Player from the Microsoft Store, which takes your M3U and EPG links, or a desktop version of IPTV Smarters. On a Mac, VLC and IPTV Smarters work the same way. A laptop connected to the TV with an HDMI cable is also a quick way to watch on the big screen.

It can. For IPTV on Xbox One or Series consoles, search the Microsoft Store on the console for an IPTV player such as MyIPTV Player, then add your M3U link and EPG link.

App availability on Xbox changes, so if you can't find a player, message us and we'll suggest the current option. A Firestick in the TV's other HDMI socket is always a reliable backup.

Honestly, Roku isn't a good fit. Roku is uncommon in Ireland, its store doesn't carry most IPTV players, and it doesn't allow installing apps from outside the store.

For IPTV on Roku you can mirror your screen from an Android phone running the app, but the picture and remote control are never as good. A Firestick or Google TV stick costs little and gives a far better result.

For IPTV on Chromecast, cast from your phone: open a player with cast support, such as IPTV Smarters Pro, start a channel and tap the cast icon.

MAG box IPTV works through a portal instead of an app. Send us the MAC address from the sticker under the box, and we send you the MAG box portal URL.

1. Send your MAC addressIt starts with 00:1A:79 and is printed under the box.
2. Enter the portalSettings › System settings › Servers › Portals. Type the portal URL into "Portal 1".
3. RestartSave, restart the box, and the channel list loads.

MAG 322 setup follows exactly the same steps, as do MAG 324, 520 and 524. Older MAG 254 boxes don't play HEVC, so pick the HD versions on those.

Both work. For Formuler IPTV, open the built-in MyTV Online app and add the details we send.

The Formuler MyTV Online portal option takes a portal URL against your box's MAC address, or you can add an Xtream Codes login instead, which also loads the films and guide. For Enigma2 IPTV on boxes like Vu+ or Zgemma, tell us your model and we'll send either an Enigma2 line or an M3U bouquet. An Enigma2 M3U bouquet is loaded with a plugin or a small upload, then the channels appear in your normal channel list next to satellite.

Kodi IPTV uses the official Kodi PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on. Install it from Add-ons › Install from repository › PVR clients.

In the add-on's settings, paste your M3U link under "M3U playlist URL" and the EPG link under "XMLTV URL", then restart Kodi and open TV. Kodi is flexible but takes more setting up than TiviMate or Smarters, so it suits people who already use it.
